Biography
Umut Karadağ (born 1971 in Ankara) is a Turkish theater, television, and film actor, as well as a director. He is known for his work with the Ankara State Theater and the amateur theater group Ankara Deneme Sahnesi. In addition to his acting career, he has directed numerous music videos and is one of the directors of the production company Ray Yapım. With a solid academic background in theater, Karadağ has contributed to the Turkish performing arts scene both on stage and behind the camera.
Early Life
Umut Karadağ was born in 1971 in Ankara, Turkey. He decided to pursue acting at a young age, making that decision while still in primary school. Coming from a family involved in the acting profession, he was inspired early on by his surroundings. He later graduated from Ankara University’s Faculty of Language, History and Geography, specializing in the Department of Theater, where he received formal training in the dramatic arts.
