Ümit İbrahim Kantarcılar (born October 10, 1987, in Antalya) is a Turkish television and theater actor. He gained popularity through his performances in TV series and theater plays. Kantarcılar is best known for his role as Ceyhun in the youth comedy series Pis Yedili. Apart from acting, he has also hosted TV programs, showcasing his versatility in the entertainment industry.
Ümit İbrahim Kantarcılar was born on October 10, 1987, in Antalya. He discovered his passion for acting at an early age and started his theater journey with school plays. He later joined the Antalya Municipality Theater, where he acted in various productions and won an award for his performance in the play Midirfillik.
In 2005, he pursued formal acting education at Müjdat Gezen Conservatory. After completing his studies, he continued to develop his career in professional theater, performing at the Ali Poyrazoğlu Theater.
Career
Kantarcılar made his television breakthrough by playing the character Ceyhun in Pis Yedili, a youth and comedy series written and directed by Gani Müjde. The show aired on Show TV from 2011 to 2014 and brought him widespread recognition.
Apart from acting, he also hosted the competition show Kızlar ve Anneleri, which aired on ATV. Throughout his career, he has continued to work in both television and theater, solidifying his presence in the Turkish entertainment industry.
In his personal life, Kantarcılar married actress Gamze Topuz in 2014, and the couple divorced in 2016. He has one child from this marriage.
