Hakan played in romantic comedy "Ayrilsak da Beraberiz" for 490 episodes. He is best known for hit sitcom series "Avrupa Yakasi", "Yahsi Cazibe". With Ebru Cundebeyoglu, he played in popular series "Yalanci Romantik" and theatre for many times. He played in "Hababam Sinifi: Uc Bucuk" sequel of cult film series and "Bizans Oyunlari"(2016) which is remake of period comedy 'Kahpe Bizans'(2000) and "Aykut Eniste 2". He is playing in historical series "Kurulus Osman". He also works in theatre.

He had his first stage experience in the play Cimri ile Manav in the second grade of primary school . During his school years, he studied folklore under the guidance of Üstün Gürtuna. During his high school years, he took modern dance lessons from Çetin Cengiz and gave dance lessons in the same hall for 3 years. He couldn't get into the fine arts theater department. He acted in amateur theater groups and children's plays at schools and went to the military. During his military service, he worked in the photography and animation team and performed shows for 15 months. After military service , he settled in Antalya , where he played at the Strip Theater for 2 years and took part in the program called Strip Show on television. He returned to Istanbul and attended Tevfik Gelenbe 's theater course. He prepared a sketch program for Star TV with a friend . However, the Gulf War started on the evening it was to be broadcast and the program has not been broadcast to this day. He took a break from acting and worked as a graphic designer.
