Biography

Erman Burak Yörük (born May 26, 1995) is a Turkish film and television actor. Known for his transition from child actor to leading man in youth dramas and romantic comedies, Yörük has appeared in numerous successful television projects such as 4N1K, Baraj, and Seversin. He is of Yörük (a Turkic ethnic subgroup) descent on his father's side and Albanian descent on his mother's side. Beyond his acting career, Yörük has also taken the stage in musical theater and has been in a relationship with singer and designer Tuana Yılmaz since 2021.

Early Life

Burak Yörük was born on May 26, 1995, in Turkey. His paternal family is of Yörük origin, while his maternal family is of Albanian descent. He grew up in a family deeply connected to the TV and media industry—his father worked as a producer. This background provided him with early exposure to the entertainment world, and he began acting as a child actor in 2002, taking on minor roles. He pursued formal education in the arts by studying in the Theater Department at Beykent University, continuing to build a foundation for his professional acting career.

Career

Burak Yörük began his acting career in 2002 as a child actor, playing minor roles in television productions. One of his early noteworthy roles was in the drama series 20 Dakika, where he appeared alongside acclaimed actress Tuba Büyüküstün. In 2013, he portrayed Aydın Menderes in the political drama Ben Onu Çok Sevdim, sharing the screen with Birce Akalay. In 2017, he joined the cast of the drama series Dayan Yüreğim. His breakthrough came in 2018 with his role as Barış Ozansoy in the youth series 4N1K İlk Aşk and its sequel 4N1K Yeni Başlangıçlar (2019), as well as in the 4N1K films released in 2017 and 2018. These productions were adaptations of a popular novel and gained him significant popularity among young audiences. In 2020, he starred in Baraj, a series inspired by the 1977 film of the same name, which originally featured Turkish cinema legends Tarık Akan and Türkan Şoray. In the following years, he appeared in romantic comedy series such as Seversin and Aşk Mantık İntikam, further cementing his place as a leading actor in Turkish television. Most recently, Yörük has taken on a role in the drama series Taş Kağıt Makas. He also expanded into theater, performing alongside his partner Tuana Yılmaz in the musical production Broadway in İstanbul.
